This is a SoundFont of a shareware Japanese software synthesizer of the 90's, called FPD98.
The software synthesizer FPD98 contains many additional functions, such as:
Composing music using its own MML syntax implementation
MIDI/RCP/WAV playback, including the FPD format
Conversion of MIDI/RCP to the propietary format "FPD"
Sampling/editing PCM tone waveform data files (FPV) using PE98
etc.

This is a GM bank based on Atari 2600 that uses period accurate samples to reproduce GM tunes as if made on Atari 2600. It uses distortion 3 and distortion 15 plus the bassy wave to span all 128 keys with a note. The drums are AY/YM noise with some overdrive like on Sunsoft 5B mixer. A SoundFont of FPD97/98's predecessor, FPD (Frostforest PCM Driver). This is a SoundFont made with the PCM tone waveform data found in the multiple PCM driver FPD for NEC PC-98 computers. I, stgiga, fixed the pitch and mappings, and also added Zandro Reveille's OPL3 drums (TheFatMan is part of the equation, including OPL2 booster drums too) because Micas didn't use drums.
