The Shrine Piano v1.3 (Sampled Grand Piano SFZ)

by Michael Picher

Uploaded on Mar 27, 2017 (and last updated on Mar 27, 2017)

This SFZ sound set uses samples from a 7 ft Kawai grand piano that I recorded in a church. My goal was to make an expressive and versatile virtual piano that I could use in future projects. Features include three sampled dynamic layers, corresponding release samples, and a pedal sound for added authenticity. (The panning of the samples is rather narrow, so I like to use a binaural pan filter to increase the spread by 50% or more.) Check out my other virtual instruments...

Xylo Piano 1.1 (SFZ)

by Michael Picher

Uploaded on Feb 11, 2017 (and last updated on Feb 11, 2017)

This sound library is sampled from a toy that has two modes, which are obviously "Piano" and "Xylophone". You can access these modes via key switches. I made this virtual instrument so that is played back exactly like the original toy, right down to the quirk that necessitates that you press the keys down with a bit of force, in order for the hammer to hit the bells. If you don't, then you'll just hear the keys flailing and no tone. This is a great oddity to add amongst ...

ElecOrg Lite 1.1.1 (SFZ)

by Michael Picher

Uploaded on Dec 16, 2016 (and last updated on May 09, 2017)

UPDATED! (May 5, 2017) I fixed some tuning issues and removed a few bad notes. Fixed volume value in Bass. Embrace the fun sound of this virtual electronic organ, sampled from a spinet organ that was likely built in the late 70s! 8-Bit Chip

Uploaded on Sep 29, 2016 (and last updated on Oct 29, 2017)

Introducing Version 2.0!! SFZ Format Pulse (3 variants), Triangle, and Noise waves Simple keyboard layout "Legato" effect Vibrato, tremolo, slide (portamento), attack, and release controls The goal, when designing "8-Bit Chip", was to create something that was friendly to a musician, rather than a programer. Traditionally, 8-Bit music is created in what can be described as a spreadsheet-like environment, where pitches and effects are coded one at a time. My idea was ...

Upright Piano (Recorded Binaurally)

by Michael Picher

Uploaded on Sep 02, 2016 (and last updated on Sep 06, 2016)

Unlike other virtual pianos, this one will give you the sensation of sitting at the piano bench directly in front of the keys. This effect is best experienced when you wear headphones. Features include samples for when the damper pedal is both up and down, sampled releases, and even damper pedal sounds that all recorded binaurally from a playing position! Update: Added sampled key release sounds.
