UPDATE: I have added descriptive names to all of the soundfonts from the "0index" files to make it much more convenient for people.
ADDENDUM: A while ago I made a .wav convertion of all the .xi files that I think should be placed here as well.

I don't recommend using this for instruments since they are "single sampled" as opposed to "multi sampled" as they are in .xi/.sf2 form. As well they are not loop...

DSOUNDFONT Ultimate

A massive soundfont.
Compatible with GM and GS (SC-55, SC-88, SC-88Pro).
Not compatible with MT-32/CM-32L or CM-64.

Read the Attribution.txt file for more information. The majority of DSOUNDFONT Ultimate is under GPL, but some parts are under the MIT license. This is NOT a non-free artifact.
