SinFon36Plus Upgrade

by Duwindu Tharinda

Uploaded on Mar 16, 2022 (and last updated on Mar 17, 2022)

I found this strictly GM only soundfont from an app called "Android Practice Player" or something. It had some not so good choir and synth tones thus I thought on upgrading it as well as putting the other standard drumkits such as "Room", "Power" "Jazz", "Brush", "Simmons" and such, and some ethnic touch with SC-8820 Ethnic and Asia kits

Developed from Lithalean's Yamaha C7 SFZ. Fixed a loudness issue on lower-velocity notes that was making them indistinct. Now widened for 128 keys.

Yamaha XG Soundset

by Duwindu Tharinda

Uploaded on Jun 04, 2021

I just found this from a site named hexawe.net. As an sf2 file, this has such a speciality that my Polyphone SoundFont editor can't specify the actual instrument preset numbers since those are located in LSB Slots rather than traditional MSB slots in Roland GS Architecture. The major downside is though, those presets don't work even though a MIDI file contain CC#32 messages on it in such cases like Coolsoft VirtualMIDISynth and even in Falcosoft player. I tried to enhance...

This is a sort of totally edited version of "Phoenix MT-32" with most of the well known presets having replaced with my ColomboGMGS2 SoundFont. More fixes would be coming out later.

Phoenix MT-32 SoundFont SF2

by Duwindu Tharinda

Uploaded on Feb 24, 2021 (and last updated on Dec 22, 2021)

Sorry for modifying someone else's content. While wandering at Musical Artifacts, I found this called SoundFont duo much interesting. The author "Jexu" had released Phoenix-XG and another one for GS/GM2. This is the one he formerly made intending to be Roland GS/GM2 and General MIDI Capable. I owe him an apology for opening this in my Polyphone SoundFont Editor. I found that he had included the whole MT-32 preset list in the bank no. 127. What I did is, I deleted the whole...

Wetthasinghe's Harmonium Patch

by Duwindu Tharinda

Uploaded on Dec 02, 2020 (and last updated on Dec 22, 2021)

This 24-bit patch is sampled at home using my grandfather's very old "Sarapina" after an overrall repair. Recorded on a Huawei Y6 II which had enabled natural stereo with its double microphones. Sorry for poor loops. I was trying to avoid the bellow sound which was making kinda terrible air popping sounds. Features. Wooden key pressing SFX layer.
