Metal Slug (Direct Sampling)

by Josh R.

Uploaded on Nov 04, 2020 (and last updated on Nov 04, 2020)

After playing through the entire Metal Slug franchise from arcade systems, myself (with the help of a few friends), took the next few hours to rip apart the entire sound engine, and well... we took all the best samples we possibly could (removing background sounds and other unnecessary noises), isolated these, and created the most complete soundfont specifically for hearing the arcade experience of Metal Slug (1, 2, 3, X). Enjoy!

Not really easy to use, but the harpes and reeds might be good for droning stuff. Volumes are a little off and not all notes are mapped, but you might find something insteresting here. Hammersound Description: Cornemuse, Biniou, Bombarde ... Hammersound Rating: 4.0 from 1 review

Introduction This is a synthesized Soundfont, made specifically for Soundfont-based soundcards. Most preferably, the SBLive! The Gameboy waveforms consist of small-wave-use, to make strange-like sounds. In this case, Gameboy-rather. My source is included, in case you want to continue it from the version you used last. It's in Audio Compositor format the source, so keep in mind, that if you run AC with it, make sure to map the wave files required, to the sample library. :...
