This is a soundfont of a free-reed aerophone (same family as accordions and melodicas) from Northeast Thailand and Laos, known as the Khaen. It is part of a family of instruments known as mouth organs.
All samples were recorded from a real instrument (my A minor Khaen) and tuned and mixed in Polyphone. The instrument in the soundfont was adapted to be chromatic, so it can play all the sharps and flats and thus in any key. However I kept with the original range of the instr...
