Matrix SoundFont v2.1.5

This is the soundfont with 7 additional Standard DrumKits for a broader selection: 128-001 Standard *ND (Naked drums), 128-002 Standard *SM12 (SM drums 1+2), 128-003 Standard *SM14 (SM drums 1+4), 128-004 Standard *DRS (DRS drums), 128-005 Standard *LHQ (LiveHQ SF drums), 128-006 Standard *SAL (Salamander drums), 128-007 Standard *MUL (Muldjord drums); plus 128-017 Power *REAL (Realistic SF power drums); plus additional instruments (see "MatrixSF - instruments, licenses.txt")

Matrix SoundFont is a free, high quality and high balanced sf2 SoundFont (I think the best free soundfont in terms of balance), ca. 1 GB in size, GM compatible (partially GS/XG), created primarily due to the desire for a high balanced SoundFont and a better (free) sound in MIDI songs or DAWs, in one package.

Instruments were chosen based primarily on their similarity to high quality real instruments (or less often to Roland SC module - synth leads/pads/effects...), carefully selected from free individual instruments/sounds or free SoundFonts from the Internet and balanced according to Roland SC module. Many GM instruments (and some GS/XG) are additionally processed in detail in audio editor software (graphic equalizer, compression, gain envelope, fade in/out, sound unevenness, irregularities, noises...) and/or soundfont editor (Polyphone), or multiple sounds/instruments were combined for a more faithful or universal sound. SoundFont has been tested on many MIDI songs in order to obtain a more uniform and universal set of instruments for all music genres.

Version 2.1.5 - new additional drumsets (128-001 STANDARD *ND (Naked drums), 128-003 STANDARD *SM14 (SM drums 14), 128-004 STANDARD *DRS (DRS drums)), new fretless bass, new bag pipe, new tango accordion, new castanets, new tambourine, removed some unused samples, for car stop and car pass corrected bank/preset, modified default reverb effect and stereo pan positioning on almost all presets. Changed order of the additional drum sets (128-001 to 128-007), all drumsets additionally adjusted/equalized. Many instruments additionally corrected/adjusted (details in "MatrixSF - version history.txt")
