This is a Fender Telecaster recorded direct in using the neck pickup (more bass than the bridge pickup). It has the same presets as the Fender Jaguar Direct In including Fender reverb samples also that can be mixed in with the mod wheel 2 on certain presets.

This is a Japanese Fender Jaguar recorded on the both pickups setting direct in and also through a valve driven Fender reverb unit. This can be used with software amplifiers such as the free fender and marshall vst plugins on this forum (there are lots of software guitar amplifier and pedal related things worth downloading on the Guitar Amp Modelling forum) or amplifier impulse response files with your convolution reverbs like Jconv on Linux or Freeverb on Windows.

This is an American Gibson Les Paul electric guitar played on the both pick-ups setting and is played through a Fender Bassman '59 Reissue with old valves in. This is a Japanese Fender Jaguar electric guitar played on the both pick-ups setting and is played through a Fender Bassman '59 Reissue with old valves in. This amp gives a really nice full clean sound. I have recorded it on the edge of break up so the low velocity samples come out clean and the high velocity samples come out with a bit of nataural power valve distortion. You can add more distortion with effects if you need it dirtier. It is hard to get this natural break ...
Running Wild Presets

I'm playing some songs from a german metal band called Running Wild.
I think I have put together a tone in guitarix which fits these songs quite well, at least for me.
The preset consists of the following elements:
Main setting: 12ax7, full Pre-Gain but without Presence.
Tonestack: Fender with about 70% bass and some Middle.
Cabinet: Mesa Boogie with 50% bass and 50% treble.

British Sounds Pack

there are lots and lots of brilliant Hi- Gain distortion patches, but I still haven't found what I was looking for ... :P
So, what I want is the feeling of standing in front of at least a true British half-stack, with
all the dirt I need, but also some dynamics so I can turn down the volume on my guitar, play some nice
and gentle notes and chords, then turning up again and making the whole thing roar ...
Kind of back to the ancient days ...

Reggae Rack

If you play reggae, maybe you can start with that rack and improve it.. made with a Telecaster, most of times bridge mic and all buttons up! hum, you are not supposed to activate all FX at the same time.. have fun!!

The guitar tone is rough (as it should be) and I'm extremely happy with what you can get out of guitarix. Anyway these should sound pretty brutal depending on your guitar and other setup.
