I read the Ars Technica article about a conch shell that was used about 18000 years ago as a musical instrument: https://arstechnica.com/science/2021/02/listen-to-haunting-notes-from-an-18000-year-old-conch-shell-trumpet/.
Happily, some researchers had recorded three very nice samples of the instrument. I went to the source (https://advances.sciencemag.org/content/7/7/eabe9510), downloaded the file, chopped it up into samples, fixed the tuning, and turned it into a soundf...
The great sounding splendid concert piano.
This is the 136 MB version of this soundfont, the most expressive soundong one. If someone knows how o reduce the size of this without sacrifying the expressiveness, feel free to drop a comment!
Note: I don't own this, I just uploaded it here because it's pretty hard to find so I wanted it to be preserved.

This is a gm soundfont I made because I didn't like the sound of the most popular soundfonts I tried. It's meant to sound as live as possible. I tried it with acoustic jazz, country and rock music and it sounds very good, even though I have to fix some things.
Please let me know what do you think in the comments and report any bugs or problems. Also suggest me some improvements I can make to this to make it sound as live as possible, while keeping the size be...
This is a SoundFont layering of two Japanese software synthesizers of the 90's, called FPD98, and is layered with a SoundFont of FPD97/98's predecessor, FPD (Frostforest PCM Driver). This is a SoundFont made with the PCM tone waveform data found in the multiple PCM driver FPD for NEC PC-98 computers. They also are used in the first FPD port for Windows 95, called FPD95. New versions (from FPD97 onwards) use a different PCM sound set for MIDI and RCP playback, but the old s...

This soundfont is based on the Banjo Kazooie Donkey Kong 64 Banjo Tooie Diddy Kong Racing Soundfont which was by M. Reza Khadafi but I removed the Diddy Kong Racing soundfont to make it only the Banjo Kazooie Donkey Kong 64 Banjo Tooie Soundfont and I also renamed the instrument from oboe to bassoon and changed its preset number from 000-068 to 000-070 and as well as from 001-071 Clarinet (DK64) to 001-071 Bass Clarinet (DK64) using Viena. One more thing I forgot to say th...

It has 128 presets and 1 drumkit.I made it because someone requested it. Keep in mind t...
I don't own this soundfont. I just wanted it to be an artifact, in case the original soundfont gets deleted or something.
