by Milton Paredes, mpj factory studios

Uploaded on Apr 10, 2024 (and last updated on Apr 10, 2024)

The name nena in spanish mean's baby, female gender. there ar 3 reasons to make this gm set.. first, i collect some sounds of the fairlight CMI3 library and some emulator 2 retro sounds, combine with samples of my keyboards that not i put in none of my soundfonts and more samples from internet. and the best reason is build a gm set that sounds too sweet, more delicate, and more femenen like a woman. this general midi bank is intended for romantic music, easy listeni...

Apollo GMGS v1.051 (3.89 GiB GM+GS soundfont)

by Caed

Uploaded on Jul 10, 2023 (and last updated on Apr 04, 2024)

It is recommended that you upgrade to v1.10, that features a bunch of fixes such as balancing. https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/3181 This soundfont has been renamed from "Caed's Ultimate Adequate GM" to "Apollo GMGS". I've spent almost 2 months making this version and making a bunch of well changes to this soundfont to achieve a better MIDI listening experience. I've removed many sounds from CrisisGeneralMidi3.01 and other bland samples and such and made this sound...

This libre SoundFont is a new fixed version of Micasddsa4000's Jummbox Soundfont, I, stgiga, fixed the pitch, OPL2 samples, modulators, and mappings, and also added Zandro Reveille's OPL3 drums (TheFatMan is part of the equation, including OPL2 booster drums too) (also William B. Santos's YM2612 and Piconica (free basic waveform synth tool of sorts) drums were used to boost the range again, followed by little-scale's and drunkenjesus's OPLL drums, resulting in a drum rang...

Extra considerations: BeepBox and JummBox are under The MIT License, and Zandro's OPL3 and OPL2 are under CC-BY-SA4, which is compatible with The MIT License (and GPLv3 as well, so you can use this SoundFont in anything GPL3-licensed. So yes, this bank is certifiably able to be a Linux package, even on distros like Trisquel that ONLY allow libre packages. Also, I have the bank on OpenGameArt for use in any games of the Liberated Pixel Cup variety, a game jam dedicated towards making FOSS games. This bank is also on other places besides this site, such as itch.io, OpenGameArt, IndieGameMusic, Archive.org, SourceForge, and others. And no, I didn't paywall the bank on ANY of the other sites it is on. I even point people to this site in the description to fulfill my CC-BY-SA4 obligations to attribute. I consider this SoundFont to be one of the best FOSS things I have done.) The William B. Santos stuff is Public Domain. OPLL stuff is libre. The Retro Player bank is under CC-BY 3.0.

Matrix SoundFont v1.4

by Matrix369

Uploaded on Jan 03, 2023 (and last updated on May 23, 2023)

V1.4 is the last v1 version of this soundfont. You can find the latest version of the original free HQ GM/GS/XG SF2 Matrix SoundFont (ca. 1 GB) by cliking on my profile "Matrix369" link.Soundfont version v1.4 - additional corrections (mostly in drum section), added ukulele.Matrix SoundFont is a free, high quality and high balanced sf2 SoundFont, ca. 1 GB in size, GM compatible (partially GS/XG), created primarily due to the desire for a high balanced SoundFont and a better...

Extra considerations: The license for this SoundFont is various and valid as for any individual source (see "MatrixSF - instruments, licenses.txt"). You can use this sounds/instruments respecting the licenses or even create your own SoundFont from this with some modifications (fork) and publish it, but you must also indicate this in the SoundFont name (e.g. "MatrixSF (edited by Mark)", "MatrixSF Mark version"...), put the license/attribution file for the original creators and give the SoundFont for free. The list of sources of all instruments and the corresponding licenses are ca. 99% correct, because I probably missed a few sounds due to testing from many sources. If any sound/instrument should not be in this SoundFont, please send mail at matrix36963@gmail.com, it will be removed/replaced.

HiDef (my 4GiB Roland SC-88Pro SoundFont)

by stgiga, et. al. (check my Weebly)

Uploaded on Dec 05, 2022 (and last updated on Oct 20, 2023)

I'm stgiga, and here's my 4GiB Roland SC-88Pro soundfont from my Weebly but in a better place. This SF2 was made when I was, in essence, a 15-16yo trans girl (I'm now nonbinary, 21yo, and use they/them). It even supports the XG mode. It was designed to be compatible with the vast majority of MIDI files, including exotic ones that used the 88Pro, especially Japanese MIDIs. I made it in 2018 when I was fed up with broken MIDIs. It was a pain to make and often involved using ...
