HuC6280 Rhodes (A.K.A. Toy Rhodes)

by Dekyo Ongen

Uploaded on Mar 27, 2019 (and last updated on Mar 27, 2019)

This is a really tiny and experimental SoundFont that tries to imitate a Rhodes in a weird way, playing with overtones, using 3 samples that I've created with the HuC6280 sound chip. It features filter velocity, so if you play it with different intensities, the sound will change, like a piano or something similar. Give it a try! And as usual with my SoundFonts, please don't use sync interpolation with it.

Casio CTK-230 SoundFont

by Dekyo Ongen

Uploaded on Jun 12, 2018 (and last updated on May 14, 2019)

This is a SoundFont of my Casio CTK-230. Months ago I started to make this SoundFont, only the piano presets. But on June 9 I started to continue it, and finally I completed it. I have sampled and also recreated the loop points in each sample, to save space and prevent this SoundFont from being large. There are some presets that I have not recreated because the envelopes that were used for those presets are not possible using the parameters that the SoundFont 2.1 format o...

SampleSynthesis (an attempt to emulate/recreate toy keyboards and lo-fi retro sounds)

by Dekyo Ongen

Uploaded on Mar 05, 2018 (and last updated on May 11, 2019)

SampleSynthesis (beta version) is a SoundFont based on waveforms sampled from various sound sources. I made it to recreate electronic toys and more. (Specifically retro sounds). Features velocity layers in some presets, and it is monophonic. I recommend use this SoundFont without sync interpolation because it ruins loop points in the samples. Note: It is Not compatible with General MIDI. Opinions and suggestions are welcome. Keep in mind that I will not be constantly up...

D. Smolken's multi-sampled double bass (aka contrabass)

by DSmolken

Uploaded on Aug 29, 2015 (and last updated on Dec 27, 2015)

DSmolken at the KVR Audio Forum posted about sampling his acoustic double bass (aka contrabass) and how to best use the samples. Two primary sets of samples are provided - arco (that's bowed) and pizz (plucked) - with the addition of various "noises". If you check out his performance video, on YouTube, you might see what these might be used for... also the start of the demos below. Arco is 5 velocity layers with 2 round robins, pizz is 3 velocity layers with 3-4 round rob...

Extra considerations: I want it to be reusable including letting other people make better mappings, or an EQed and normalized version or whatever, and reuse it in other sample libraries.
