Slender Salamander Grand Piano (44 kHz 16 bit)

by Alexander Holm / Signal Experiments

Uploaded on Nov 11, 2017 (and last updated on Nov 11, 2017)

A phase aligned version of the famous Salamander Grand Piano. Using velocity crossfading to simulate intermediate velocity layers, the original gigabyte library has been reduced to 389 MB (238 for the 44.1kHz version). From the original 16 velocity layers, 3 were selected then phase aligned. Furthermore, the SFZ library has also been re-tuned using the Entropy Piano Tuner. My 3th version of this sound this time thinking onto general use, EQ'd just the right amount nothing crazy, includes real time Damper Resonance for fluidsynth users and compatibles. Main patch contains 4 Velocity hard curve focus, I also include a secondary 41 Velocity version for more expressiveness. This is it, I'm not doing any more versions.

V2.5 - This is the biggest update and also this may be the final version. This is a soundfont that I compiled with high quality presets, mostly made by me, sampled from my Korg Pa700 and Roland JUNO-DS keyboards, everything in less than 1 GB, highlighting balanced and live quality pianos, guitars, basses, and more! Also includes 4 midi demo songs.

A tiny experimental piano sample library! Demo: https://soundcloud.com/sig-ex/sets/tiny-piano-00 More info: https://sig-ex.com/2016/07/24/experimental-piano-00-sfz/ Artificial stereo panning and looping of long notes makes the over all sample library just 10.8mb without sacrificing number of samples, thus avoiding overstretching pitches. For an even tinier (2.8MB) ogg version see: https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/403 Use with Plogue Sforzando, or other SFZ com...
