Yamaha TX16w GM compatible soundfont

by McCheeseBob

Well here's yet another silly GM compatible soundfont made from an old sampler's samples. I'd been fiddling around with the Cyclone vst and made a soundfont for a nice piano sound I liked. After awhile I figured I might as well just dump in the whole kitchen sink. Still wouldn't say that this is the most usable soundfont for listening to midis or what have you, but it's miles about my CMI soundfont. Definitely has a mid-90s GM module sound to it. I'm slowly learning how to...

I'm stgiga, and this is my merger of my fix of the NESMaster96 GM remap of little-scale and drunkenjesus's YM2413 SoundFont with the Devan Wolf GM remap of the OPLL-2 bank from the Yamaha SHS-10, utilizing plgDavid samples. Thus this, in essence, a 2xOPLL bank, because the OPLL and OPLL2 are the same chip just accessed differently. The SHS-10 just uses custom patches a lot. This is actually a neat duet.

Xiaod Bank Soundfont

A GM soundfont with some good sounds hidden in there. Many of the instruments sound generic or you might have heard them on other such GM collections, also volume is not always consistent between instruments. It has many different drumkit presets and overall might be useful to someone. Hammersound Rating: 10.0 / 3 reviews Hammersound Description: Very Big! 100% Excellence overall!!!!!! This is the only one you wil ever need!

Version 0.1.wip20230424 The first libre lightweight General MIDI chiptune-based soundfont that I created from scratch using libre software, including LMMS, Audacity, and Polyphone. However, it's work-in-progress as some instruments are absent.

I, stgiga, made this layered mashup of the Yamaha Tyros 4 fixed Soundfont by Milton Paredes (which was fixed by RolandKnight) and the JV-1010 Soundfont. This results in a layered GM bank with snazzy timbre and it sounds really really good with many MIDIs. The acoustic guitar is really realistic, among others. I hope that you enjoy this! No quality was sacrificed during the making of this. A second link is here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/stgigasoundfonts/files/so...

TrianGMGS Soundfont

by Thomas K.

Uploaded on Sep 02, 2019 (and last updated on May 11, 2020)

This is intended to be an orchestral soundfont for GM (General MIDI), compiled from various other soundfonts. The reason being is that I couldn't find a decent orchestral GM soundfont (for my needs), so I decided to compile my own by carefully picking samples from other sources. Feel free to use this for whatever you want to, but remember that these samples aren't mine, so it's all a grey area. Update: Added 309 GS patches. The GM only version can still be downloaded fro...
