by AJ Mendez

Uploaded on Feb 07, 2023 (and last updated on Feb 08, 2023)

Im suprised nobody hasnt even done this game yet until now. This is the Soundfont of the Japanese exclusive Gameboy Advance game: Densetsu No Starfy. All sounds and samples were ripped from GBA Mus Riper and they were tuned and edited with Polyphone and were tested with LMMS and Audio Evolution. Enjoy!

I'm not so sure this soundfont is very widely distributed, so here it is in all of its glory. Some instruments here can be found in higher quality elsewhere, but this soundfont has these instruments as used in this game. Ripped using GBA Mus Riper.

F-Zero: GP Legend GBA 2.0

I decided to use GBAMusRiper instead of Audacity and redid the whole entire sf2, to perfect the F-Zero GP Legend sound. Compared to the old one, there are more instruments than just duplicates, and everything is evenly looped well. F-Zero GP Legend is a 2004 GBA racing game based on the F-Zero anime. It sounds really cool and has plenty of cool instruments. F-Zero Climax is a different game, but uses the same instruments as the

This is a HiDef-derived Soundfont specifically geared towards the SC-88Pro MIDIs from the recent Pokemon Emerald source code leak, MIDIs which are far more accurate than even ROM rips, especially the instrument choices. The drums are from Charm by Strix Soundfont Team, with a simple re-arrangement of a few samples to make them work properly. The GB Channel 3 waves are from GXSCC, and were picked to specifically match the waves that RSE and FRLG use, except that GXSCC is do...

Soundfont and midi ripped straight from the video game using VGMTrans (GBAMusRiper wasn't able to rip it). Able to be used with any DAW that plays soundfonts. If you're wondering, I did check to see if the PSX version could be ripped, but no. It just gives me streamed (.wav) versions of the songs.

Extra considerations: There are PSG/NES instruments in the game, but VGMTrans wasn't able to rip them. Interestingly, "A Day in Agrabah" uses an entirely different sound set than the rest of the main songs. The (Original) .dls files are what VGMTrans gave me, so I left them in (If you wanted to blow out your ears for any reason).
