A general MIDI soundfont with balanced instruments. I used General User GS for many of the sounds, and also I matched the volume of the other samples used to General User GS.---version 1.03: fixed a few bugs with drum kits

HiDef (my 4GiB Roland SC-88Pro SoundFont)

by stgiga, et. al. (check my Weebly)

Uploaded on Dec 05, 2022 (and last updated on Oct 20, 2023)

I'm stgiga, and here's my 4GiB Roland SC-88Pro soundfont from my Weebly but in a better place. This SF2 was made when I was, in essence, a 15-16yo trans girl (I'm now nonbinary, 21yo, and use they/them). It even supports the XG mode. It was designed to be compatible with the vast majority of MIDI files, including exotic ones that used the 88Pro, especially Japanese MIDIs. I made it in 2018 when I was fed up with broken MIDIs. It was a pain to make and often involved using ...

Yamaha S-YXG50 GM Soundfont (WIP)

by Simone Piervergili

Uploaded on Oct 17, 2022 (and last updated on Nov 18, 2022)

I decided to make the General MIDI SoundFont of the Yamaha S-YXG50, and if you're wondering how I got the drum kit samples, I edited a MIDI file and added some long notes in every bar in Synthfont, then sampled the drum kits, too. Also, samples recorded using Falcosoft MIDI player. Note that this is just work in progress, then later it will be full. Just wanted to share here right now for the time being.

CrisisGeneralMIDI 3.01

by Chris 'Crisis' Maricourt, Simone Piervergili

Chris 'Crisis' Maricourt is the creator of Crisis GeneralMIDI 3.01, NOT me. I just wanted to share it here, just like SonicLover19 uploaded Crisis 3.51 which is the unofficial update of this soundfont. Sounds realistic, I tried it and it didn't sound bad. Also, I noticed some samples are from East West libraries, for example, Standard Kit and Melodic Toms are from East West Goliath, I noticed it while watching East West Goliath drum kits demos on YouTube.
