Phase Aligned Grand Piano from SSO

by Signal Experiments / Mattias Westlund

Uploaded on Apr 13, 2017 (and last updated on Apr 14, 2017)

An update to the Grand Piano included in the Mattias Westlund's Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra. The velocity layers are phase aligned, allowing smoother dynamic transitions via velocity crossfading, which in turn makes the piano more expressive.

[v1.7.1 resampled and edited velocity layers and high note releases] A new and amazing soundfont based on PianoTeq 8's Ant Petrof 284 Mistral This is by far is my most favorite piano, with a soft and mellow sound and rich and powerful bass notes. Sampled in 24bit at 48kHz, it includes resonance and individual note samples. ENJOY!

Slender Salamander Grand Piano (48 kHz 24 bit)

by Alexander Holm / Signal Experiments

Uploaded on Nov 11, 2017 (and last updated on Jun 22, 2022)

A phase aligned version of the famous Salamander Grand Piano. Using velocity crossfading to simulate intermediate velocity layers, the original gigabyte library has been reduced to 389 MB (238 MB for the 44.1 kHz version). From the original 16 velocity layers, 3 were selected then phase aligned. Furthermore, the SFZ library has also been re-tuned using the Entropy Piano Tuner. Chateau Grand

by GD CRAFT

Uploaded on Jan 31, 2023

This is another edit of a soundfont I found in Soundfont4U website. Nice mellow sounding piano but gradually gets brighter. I widened the soundfont for 128 keys, fixed some velocity issues, and made it into one single preset. This soundfont has 5 sampled velocity layers, however the samples aren't full 88 single note samples but they are like 2 to 4 notes for each sample. Enjoy.
