Uploaded on Dec 24, 2017 (and last updated on Jan 13, 2018)

Keppy's Steinway Piano was a professional piano soundfont developed by KaleidonKep99. The soundfont is based off samples from a Steinway D-274 concert grand piano, and it was sampled with a TASCAM DR-40. It was provided in the SFZ format, which allows for the customization of the soundfont to a user's specific preference, and for optimization for various types of MIDIs.

If you need that musical sound from an 80s rock band or a Homestar Runner cartoon, this sample library could fit the bill! I even composed some of my very first melodies of music using this keyboard. >> IMPORTANT: If you want to be notified when a new version of this sample library...

As for the sound it ranges from a really light mellow harp-like tone on lower velocities to a very sharp tone with higher velocities, really interesting. The original version uses aiff samples but it did not play well with some of the SFZ players I used, so I made a flac and a wav version. This is the WAV. Link to the FLAC vers...
