This package contains three versions of Timidity: 2.12, 2.13 and 2.14. All of them are Windows executables with win32++ GUI.I uploaded the Windows versions because they are easy-to-use, they run nicely under Wine and the win32 GUI's have many more options than Linux GUI's (maybe even more options than Linux command line version). So you can run it on Windows, Linux and maybe even at OSx using Wine. You can even make Timidity win32 GUI your default midi player on Linux configuring the "open with" option of your desktop environment. (I did it and I'm very glad with it.) You'll find the timidity.cfg files that I use under wine and they may serve as examples for you. (In Linux paths use / but if you'll run it on Windows use \ on paths.)It's nice to have different versions of Timidity because they work differently. For example from 2.13 on many instruments are played completely panned to left or right, even if they're not designed to do so, but it doesn't happen at 2.12. 2.12 also has a very easier way to write the cfg file. On the other hand that are some instruments that are rendered better in 2.13 or 2.14. And if you want to use several soundfonts and several banks, probably you'll want to spend more time with the more complicated but more flexible cfg files of 2.13 and 2.14.So, have a lot of fun.
