This is the LiLVintage Soundfont: a mixture of various individual instrument patches, spiced up with a few GUS and a lot of GUS PPL 1.61 patches for the retro vibes, as well as with hand-picked choices from "RealSound GS 2.0" and "GM2 Map Soundfont" patches, and it comes with the Utopia Soundbank's drumsets. So it's quite the mixture. Basically I aimed for a more 'palatable' GUS PPL based soundfont.
NOTE: There are two editions for this soundfont. The difference for the second edition referred to as "DG" (DifferentGuitars) in its name is the following: it has two alternate overdrive and distortion guitars (at 029 and 030 patches). This other DG variation is mostly for karaoke and other MIDIs that benefit from the more realistic overdrive and distortion guitars. However the default "Hard Rock" ones are recommended for old gaming, as from my listening experience, they handle balance and subtle changes better.
Since the soundfont uses some GUS patches and some unknown sources for some patches (obtained through the net long ago), I'd say it can be used for free purposes, but not commercially.
