Phase Aligned Grand Piano from SSO

An update to the Grand Piano included in the Mattias Westlund's Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra. The velocity layers are phase aligned, allowing smoother dynamic transitions via velocity crossfading, which in turn makes the piano more expressive.

A phase aligned version of the famous Salamander Grand Piano. Using velocity crossfading to simulate intermediate velocity layers, the original gigabyte library has been reduced to 389 MB (238 MB for the 44.1 kHz version). From the original 16 velocity layers, 3 were selected then phase aligned. Furthermore, the SFZ library has also been re-tuned using the Entropy Piano Tuner. Keppy's Steinway Piano was a professional piano soundfont developed by KaleidonKep99. The soundfont is based off samples from a Steinway D-274 concert grand piano, and it was sampled with a TASCAM DR-40. It was provided in the SFZ format, which allows for the customization of the soundfont to a user's specific preference, and for optimization for various types of MIDIs.
